Quick Start to Kayaking Class – If you have always wondered about kayaking but just did not know where or how to start, this class is for you. You’ll learn about the different types of kayaks as well as basic kayak terminology, safety practices, and paddling techniques that will get you off on the right foot. Increase your knowledge and confidence so that you can have fun, but also be safe out on the water. A great course for those considering the purchase of a kayak. Approximate duration 3 hours. Cost $69 per person.*

Introduction to Kayaking – This full day class will provide you with the basic safety and paddling skills to get you started in kayaking. Specific attention will be given to appropriate clothing and gear, entering and exiting a kayak safely, learning balance and control of your kayak, basic paddles strokes and emergency procedures. Lunch included. Approximate duration 7 hours. Cost $129 per person.*

Essentials of Kayak Touring – Learn the skills essential to safe and effective kayak touring on lakes and open flatwater settings. Develop strokes and maneuvers, learn about trip preparation, equipment selection, safety and rescue procedures. Approximate duration 8 hours. Lunch included. Cost $129 per person.* Quick Start to Canoeing – This course will provide you with basics of canoeing, including information about canoe design and materials, portaging, necessary equipment, safety and rescue, as well as strokes and maneuvers. A great option for those considering getting into the world of canoeing for the first time. Approximate duration 3 hours. Cost $69 per person.*

Introduction to Canoeing – This class is designed to provide the newer paddler with the fundamentals of canoeing, including equipment design, selection and care, appropriate clothing, car topping and portaging, safety and rescue, with an emphasis given to the development of effective and efficient strokes and maneuvers. Lunch included. Approximate duration 7 hours. Cost $129 per person.*

Essentials of Canoe Touring – Prepare yourself for flatwater canoe touring by increasing knowledge and developing skill in trip preparation, appropriate equipment selection, safety and rescue procedures, and proficient strokes and maneuvers. Lunch included. Approximate duration 8 hours. Cost $129 per person.*

All Classes By Reservation Only.

Class minimums 2 persons.

Private instruction $40 per hour.

*Per person rates include all equipment. Deduct $10 if you bring your own.
